usmcavenger
Old set up. I had to keep my receiver, PS3, ect. outside of the TV stand because the stand wasn't deep enough to hold them. And you can see the small 1.1's in the corners.
usmcavenger
The SC-57 is a beast compared to my Yamaha! I couldn't believe how heavy this thing is in real life!
ivanhurd
If you were in the Air Force, you'd live in a bigger house =^P ha ha, j/k! I'm glad you are enjoying your system, I know I love my new setup as well =^)
usmcavenger
Everything in place! Most people hate the shear footprint and overall size of stereo speakers these days but I think it's sexy!
usmcavenger
Haha, my wife's whole side of the family is Air Force so I hear that all the time! I would agree though. Every time we're on their base everything seems bigger, nicer, better!
ivanhurd
That looks really nice. I went with the 82 IIs myself. To be honest, I never really even looked at the RF-7s as they were a bit out of my price range. I suppose I could have skimped on the rest of the surrounds, but between those and the RC-64, going that route was just a bit too spendy. Shooooot, I never even expected to spend as much as I did on a speaker system...I gotta say tho, I really have no regrets with what I went with. I really can't hate on the Marines, ya'll do a job that I'm not willing to do. Shoot, I never thought I'd ever join any branch of the military... ivanhurd
P.S. I hope you kept all the boxes for shipping back to the states. Those movers can be rough on your things. I just PCSd from England and dang...that's all I gotta say...I wanted to punch those guys before they were done...

andrewdestroyer
UMC, Thanks for the update on your system. I love the before and after pictures. Sounds like the SC-57 and the RF-7 II are a good match along with the RF- 64 II. I may have the save some more pennies or wait a little while for a good deal. I am glad to hear that you are enjoying your killer stereo while serving overseas. Thanks for your service.
