Napon H. Posted October 25, 2011 Share Posted October 25, 2011 Hi all I plan to build my first 2 channel system. Base on my father's opinion, I plan to go with horn speaker. After reading review from the stereophile, I plan to go with LaScala II and Pathos TT anniversary. what do you think about these? Please share your idea, i really need your suggestion. mustang guy Posted October 25, 2011 Share Posted October 25, 2011 Welcome to the forum! If I had the cash, I would love to have a pair of LaScala II's. Currently, I have 6 LaScala 1's. I love the speakers. Depending on your listening habits and if you have corners for placement, you might consider the Klischorn as well. They dig deeper into the sub bass than the LaScala and yet are efficient speakers. Either would be happy with a 35 watt amp like the one you are looking at. The La Scala is wonderful sounding speaker, I have no idea about the Pathos TT but a nice TT, a well built amp and the LS will put a smile on your face for many years. Keep us updated. Actually i looking for a long run investment, since i will be in USA only 3-4 more years After i finish my Phd. i will move back to my country Thailand. So I plan to ship the hold system back. By the way, the system i have in my country is Speaker : QUAD 22L Pre : Audible illusions Modulus 1 Power : Richardson Phono : music reference Turn : Linn Sondek LP12+ Ittok All of these, except speaker, come from my father. So After staying in USA for 1 and half year, i think it's time to build up some 2 ch system here because i really miss the sound from vinyl. For the budget, I don't have much money, I plan to buy LaScala II and Pathos TT this year and buy turntable later. Normally I listen to some pop and rock music just like The Beatles , The Eagle, QUEEN, Jack Johnson Bee Gees , Simon and Garfunkel, OASIS, SANTANA, the shadows etc. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
