If the dented dust covers really bothered you you could cut the old ones off with a razor and glue on new ones. I think someone got a Hell of a deal. Mine (1977) have some little thing stuck on the middle of them, similar to what those small pictures on the eBay link show. If they are dented, all you have to do is just take a vacuum cleaner and very slowly approach them (having the brush on helps) and the dent will come out.
