jrgreene1968
wife is trying to talk me into replacing my speakers, and go the inwall speaker route. Wandering if anyone has experience with the Klipsch KL6502THX in walls, or something like them. Do they compare to tower mains?
nezff
They aren't going to sound like your towers.

nezff
I understand your concern. I'm pretty sure you won't get the sound out of those wall speakers.
Moderators Youthman Posted November 10, 2011 Moderators Share Posted November 10, 2011 I haven't heard them but would think it would be a downgrade for several reasons. Inwalls do not have an actual speaker cabinet and use the wall as the cabinet which isn't ideal. Also, they have two 5.25" drivers as opposed to the 8" drivers in your RF-82's. I've yet to hear a pair of inwalls that I actually enjoyed. The THX Ultra2's would make great inwalls since they have their own cabinet but they are quite pricey. My wife felt the same way you did. It was actually her idea when we built our house to have a dedicated theater room. I told her I thought she was a genious! LOL
jrgreene1968
thanks for the replies. I have never heard any in walls, hence why i was asking. I just cant see how they could compare..Wife could care less how they sound, as long as they look good[]
