I got a coworker wanting to sell some chrorus ll's for 400. First i was wondering if this is a good buy. They r pretty great condition. Also i was wondering if my reciever is good enough for em. The Chorus II does have a big ole 15" driver to move so maybe look for some amplification with a little more current to safely drive them. vnzbd Posted December 20, 2011 Share Posted December 20, 2011 I have a set of the Chorus IIs and try to run them with a Marantz receiver rated at 125w per channel. It could not bring out what the speakers have to offer. As bill stated the woofer is a monster. The mids and highs were just fine but the bass did not keep up.
