Would my receiver go great with chorus ll?

Hi yall, im not very electronically inclined n usually go with what ppl sell me. I got a coworker wanting to sell some chrorus ll's for 400. First i was wondering if this is a good buy. They r pretty great condition. Also i was wondering if my reciever is good enough for em. Its a pioneer VSX-D3O7. Any info would b great. Thanks

I could not find any info on this model. Are you sure that is the exact model number?

How did you know I typed "O" instead of "0"?[:o]

Your Pioneer may not be the "best" choice but try it out and see. The Chorus II does have a big ole 15" driver to move so maybe look for some amplification with a little more current to safely drive them.

I have a set of the Chorus IIs and try to run them with a Marantz receiver rated at 125w per channel. It could not bring out what the speakers have to offer. As bill stated the woofer is a monster. The mids and highs were just fine but the bass did not keep up. An extermnal amp made a hugh improvement.

$400 does sound like a great deal if they are in good condition.
