Danadog
I am possibly looking at a pair of RF-7's that are for sale locally and wanted to know if the speaker in the attached picture looks correct. The reason I ask is that I have not seen or can find a picture of an RF-7 with the groove in the bottom of the face as seen in this picture. Please let me know if you have see this before. Also the woofer cones are dented on this speaker. Does this effect the performance at all? Thanks
RockOn4Klipsch
looks like a wire hanging in front of the speaker. The dented dust cap is only a cosmetic issue, does NOT effect performance.
Zen Traveler
I have no idea what that groove is and thought at first it was a shadow reflection from something else...Insofar as fixing up used RF-7s I believe the guy's Klipsch user name was "Inventor" and he had some interesting posts (search function at top of page). I also have no opinion on the current speakers that you are looking at, but there should also be a set of grills and more than likely they will be missing some pins so factor that in your equation. Good Luck.
