Serial numbers back then were kind of squirrely...

If I'm reading http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/p/103886/1048788.aspx#1048788 correctly, your Heresy speakers were made between the years 1957 and 1963 (the 'A' actually means 1955 - 1963) and that they were the 5024th and 5026th Heresies made.

I say 1957 above because, according to the specs page http://www.klipsch.com/heresy-floorstanding-speaker the first Heresy speakers were sold in 1957.

The examples 7 and 8, below, are taken from the first link above and may be incorrect (or I may be incorrect.) I assume there were no '0' serial numbers in any series therefor each series only contriburtes 999 to the usage... In your example 6 series of 999 is actually 5994 not 6000.

In the 1955-1983 serial method the first, or prefix "digit(s)" before
the year letter represents the sequence of production for each 1000
units. The suffix digits after the letter code will always be three
digits - 001 through 999. For example 1C999 would be the 999th unit
built, and 2C999 would be the 1999th built in 1965 C = 1965).

4. These digits before & after the year code apply only to that type of speaker.

5. The year code letter only identifies the year in which that number occurred.

As an example, if you have a pair of Klipschorn's and one of the serial
numbers is 15T252, then by 1979 there had been 14,151 Klipschorn's made
(Klipschorn's made in 1946-1947 were serial numbered from 1 to 20, and
in 1948 started with #121, skipping #21 through #120).

7. For a pair of 1979 La Scala's, with serial number 22T403, it means there were 21,403 La Scala's made to that point.

Another example: A pair of Belles from 1979 has the serial number 3T242
and 243. This means that in 1979 these Klipsch Belles, the 2,242nd & 2,243rd, were made.

I don't expect they had made over 5,000 Heresys by 1963. If I had to guess, they were probably #s 529 and 531 or something close to that.

They are 1961 1/2 to 1962 models (Heresy was introduced in 1959) the older models have a shorthorn style cabinet, the acrylic klipsch nameplate is an indicator. They have the narrow throat K-1000 midrange horn (the bezel on the K55 will be not be as rounded) and most likely the K-77 tweeter (16ohm) with the chrome horn bezel and threaded input connectors. They will also have the hand wound bobbinized coils on the crossover networks. The woofers are most likely made by Electrovoice. The cane looks decent except for the staining.

(Update: I just saw your other post, the B at the end of the H-WO-12B indicates they are only Bass units finished in Walnut Oil veneer. They will not have the above parts in the cabinet.)

Seeing as they are only bass units despite being in fabulous condition for their age and having the original stapled tags on the back they will not be worth as much as a complete Heresy. You could try to source all the parts to make them complete but finding the K-1000 horns would be a challenge.
