iDunno
I was thinking of buying a rc-7 with my rf-3 because the center channel is the most important part of the hometheater (like horneds). Is it worth the money or should i stick with the rc-3?
m00n
I have one... Is it worth it? Well, I think so, but I would also suggest that you hagle the price down from the list price. Na, not really but yes, it is a very nice speaker. Now I am sure that someone like HornEd will come in and give you all the reasons sonicly why you should or should not match that speaker with your RF-3s. michael hurd
If I have to upgrade, that might be my next path. I own rf3II's and it seems that the crossover point on the rc7 is much closer to the rf3II's than the rc3II. But that is all on paper. I think if you can persuade a dealer to let you demo both units in your home, this might be a valid test.

Seb
apparently, and unless you plan on upgrading you whole system to the 7 series, it won't match the RF-3II tonally. that's as per the Klipsch rep for our store. ------------------ http://members.fortunecity.com/sebdavid - go laugh at my crappy website/equipment http://www.dvdprofiler.com/mc.asp?alias=Sebdavid - go laugh at my puny little DVD collection
boomer9911
Agreed, The centre is the most important(voice dynamics), 80% is your front end and 20% the rear(just need the push in the back when the afterburners kick in on an F-18 IMO)Mind you DVD Audio or HDCD in a "live" format(5.1) is awesome all around you. I believe the sub is next(IMO). It carries everything below your speakers drop off range(HZ). Mind you, anything below 20HZ you can't hear(watch the cat and dog bolt from the room and your pant legs vibrate). Klipsch designed the 7's for the 7's, 3's for 3's. Would love a Heritage centre for my system, even matched sub Klipschorns(f) Klipsch La Scala's® Klipsch Hersey II's(boxed, running in 5.1 mode for now) Klipsch KLF-C7© Velodyne FSR-18(s) TEAC A4300 Reel to Reel tape Pioneer GR777 10 channel EQ Monster HTPS 7000 power centre Musical Fidelity XLPS phono preamp Marantz 6200 turntable(soon to be Thorens or Oracle) Marantz SR18EX Reference A\V Receiver 3-Marantz MA700 mono block amps(3 X 200W, f & c) Marantz DV-12S1 Reference Progressive Scan DVD Marantz MV5100 S-VHS hifi vcr Marantz DR6000 CD Recorder(single tray) Marantz SD57 casette tape(single tray) Toshiba 34HF81 theatre wide HDTV WOW, server stalllll, even cable...hate prime time..HA Cables: Kimber Cable 8TC(f&c), Kimber Cable ADGL digital coaxial(DVD audio), Monster MC500®, Monster M1000 bass subwoofer cable, Monster M1000i-X for turntable and reel to reel, with M1000 series for all other interconnects. boa12
hey boomer, you have pretty close to my dream speaks 'cept for the lascala center. do not have room for one, as I don't either & not for khorns either yet? 'cept i'd plan on using the cornwalls & klf-30 i have for surrounds & rear surrounds. maybe the c7 can be used for future 9.1. when did you get that teac reeler? how old is it? i considered one of those way back. ------------------ My Home Systems Page
