Tkojoe
I have always used Industrial Heresy's along with JBL 18" sub for my weddings which I DJ. I am looking to build another complete system and need advice on which Klipsch speakers to consider. Will they sound amazing like my Heresy's, and will they stand up to the road? Thanks! Coytee
Probably depends on which speakers you use. I once dragged my (non-industrial) LaScalas to a friends wedding. I also dragged them to various frat parties while in college (I wasn't in a frat but a prior roommate was and sold the idea to his brothers and I was paid $20/hour to make them deaf) I didn't have a sub nor carrying handles so it made it a real pain for me to move them. I think there are some fans here of the KP 301 (? not sure if that's the correct number). I think it's the industrial version of the Cornwall?? I think Colter uses that as his go-to speaker. Put differently, if you go up a size in speaker I think the answers to your question is yes, they will sound as amazing (if not more) than your Heresy's and will also stand up to the road. I just don't know enough about the different pro models to give numbers like some others here can do.
djk
A pair of the Heresy Industrial have enough gas to keep up witha pair of 18s per side. You might consider a second pair with whatever subs you need. You can generally find a pair of the Heresy Industrial for around $500 or so, depending on the trim. I have used mine above dual 15s driven with a Crest CPX series amplifier (which has a built-in high-out to drive the HF amplifier), they are available in 900/1500/2600/3800W sizes. I have owned all but the 3800. Can you build a sub cabinet? A Danley TH115 has as much output as a typical dual 18 sub and is smaller. The driver used only costs about $300, if you can DIY. you could save a bunch over a factory-built TH115. "I know i'm going to buy a couple of the TH-115's when I get the money, reguardless of what pro sound web says, I heard these things go, and i've never heard a sub perform like them. The was close, but couldnt stay as loud as low as the 115, and the turbosound tsw-718 and go low, but don't seem like they can hit as hard as the 115, and they are the dual 18's. Bar far, these are my favorite subs for touring. So once I get the money, I will check them out." A used pair ( $3,775.00 ): http://www.soundbroker.com/SPEAKERS/SUBWOOFER/?listingid=64099 A different folding scheme than the Danley, but easier to build:

colterphoto1
The Danley with 2x12" is a killer too. A buddy has 4 of them with 4 Yorkville Unity (Danley design also) and it's the tightest, fastest bass I've ever heard in a mid-sized PA. kg4guy
Thanks I was looking at those Yorkville UCS-1 passive subs seem to be a great deal .
djk
"The Danley with 2x12" is a killer too" Yes, it's push-pull as well (lower distortion). http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/subwoofers/190635-th-18-flat-35hz-xoc1s-design-88.html
kg4guy
I think I'm going to buy one of the Yorkville UCS-1 passive subs to see how I like it I need something a little smaller I've been using my KP-302's with two JBL SR4719A subs on gigs love the combo but the JBL's are large however I can get everything in my Dodge Grand Caravan enough room for me only front passenger seat is full.[:^)]

djk
Yes, it's a bit longer. The TH118 would seem to have an extra fold as it goes deeper than the TH115 even though it's the same size externally.
kg4guy
I see I did check to see the size difference I assumed the TH118 would be bigger I guess I'll build the TH118 then there are some many pages on that build do you remember the best 18" driver to use with that DIY TH118? Thanks
djk
http://www.usspeaker.com/B&C-18TBW100-1.htm Another solution I should point out would be my dual 15 PPSL design. They would be much easier to build, a pair of 15s would have about the same output as the single 18, and both the cabinet materials and the drivers would cost less. The PPSL has a lot less distortion than the single driver TH, although Danley does make some P-P dual 12 TH designs.
