braves716
I am planning on attempting to directly take the output of a cd player into my promedias (v2 .400 not 4.1 system) via a y-adapter that joins the front and rear inputs that should go into the soundcard. So it would be set up as follows: Cd-player...yadapter...input cables...front speaker...etc.... In theory this should play the cd music without the use of a sound card. If anyone has done this before (successfully or unsuccessfully) please respond, or if this will not work at all(technicans). Thanks.
k27-R
i did that before i even hooked up my promedia's to the computer it works fine, but it's not as loud as on the computer.
asudhir
yeah, there's no reason why it shouldn't work. all you're doing is changing the sound input for the speakers. i just order the 4.1's yesterday and when i get them i'm going to be hooking them up to not only my computer, but my cd player and minidisc on occasions. have fun. *zen
