Clear Cabinet RSW-15

Check out this pic of an RSW-15 made of clear plastic to show off the inner workings. I thought it was really cool to see just how big that magnet is on the active driver.

I was really surprised at how rigid the drivers are too. Rock solid like my previous Velodyne HGS15. I expected them to be like the drivers in the RF-83's which are rigid but not near as taught as the driver in the RSW-15. It's a beast for sure. And with the weight and awkward size, it's hard to move around by yourself.

Ha, I carried one of them down a flight of stairs by myself. Never again. Totally awkward and hard to keep your arms around it. That was foolish of me :/

I honestly don't know why no sub manufacturers sell subs and speakers like this. I think there would be a market for them.

I was doing a bit of reasearch last summer on building a horn loaded sub using thick 1/2" plastic. That way it could be completely weatherized. True it would cost more, but how cool would that be??

Mustang, although it does look cool, I wouldn't buy one. Would look super awkward in almost any room (especially the main living room. If it was cool, why not remove the cover to our receivers and amps to show them off as well? []
