philly0116
I have a couple of old woofers from some '64 cornwalls and the woofers themselves are torn. I believe these are the ones made by Jensen years ago, I could be wrong, but I think they are. Is it possible for the k-33 to be reconed and repaired or should I just buy new ones? Thanks! ZAKO
New units are better,, The Jensens had to be treated on outer surrounds to lower Fs
colterphoto1
Jensen will have the number PL15 ink stamped on the outer edge of the basket as viewed from the rear. Usually has a silver colored basket and cover over the magnet.

philly0116
Yep! Thats it! Do you think that is worth reconing or should I just buy new? Do you know the value of that woofer as it sits with a torn cone?
mustang guy
If Bob Crites still has the recone kits available, you can recone it. Here is a DIY I posted when I reconed several K-33's. The kits came from Bob Crites, and he had a limited number of them. http://community.klipsch.com/forums/p/168596/1844752.aspx#1844752
