Shipping a pair of La scala

Thanks for the intro. Had emailed Bob Crites and liasing with him to see how best to ship the components to Singapore.

Guess I have to DIY a pair of the La Scala.

Hope the costs is not too pricy.

on price, think it will be just a fraction of what it would cost to ship those big cabs. and the sound will be wonderful!

If you're going to so much trouble to get a pair of La Scalas, why not consider getting the ultimate La Scalas? JubScalas might not be all that much more expensive, since a pair of K510/K-69 tweeters would possibly cost less to ship than the set of K401/K-55 squawkers and K-77 tweeters.

You'd still need an EV Dx38 or equivalent, but they can be found and they're not that expensive to ship. You might even find one in Singapore. Then add a pair of matching power amps, and you're good to go.

If you wanted to go all the way, you'd be trying for La Scala IIs with K402 tweeters. That would be a serious step up in sound quality from any standard La Scala, no matter which crossover or aftermarket horns and drivers it might be using.
