billybob
So, I have the new capacitors here (courtesy of DeanG) and am about to delve into them, before I end up testing the shelf life of new capacitors. Have 3 soldering irons and picking up a sucker from Radio Shack, if they have one. Anything to watch for, or is it straightforward enough. Dean said I would have to get creative with one of them. Chorus II feel free. So, going in ...soon. Anyone? Thanks
CECAA850
Remove the old cap, put the new one in by whatever means necessary. Be sure they're secure with hot glue, tie strap, etc. Be sure the values on the caps are facing up so they can be read in the future if necessary. I'm sure more people will chime in.
billybob
That helps thanks. Believe I have some small tie straps. Hot glue is for?
CECAA850
It's commonplace to use either hot glue or tie straps to secure the caps to the board.
