Wild Blue
I've been looking at the Yamaha DPX-1 Projector lately, and read some good reviews. Some items in the reviews though give me some doubts. Who has seen this item used? one thing, does it have the "rainbow effect" I've heard of in the reviews where with eye movement or blinking you will see rainbow edging on items sometimes? Someone else wrote recently in this forum that these were not being made anymore by Yamaha, and that a new model might be coming out. Any truth to this? Wild Blue
Imageman- But it was a Yamaha, right? If so, the DPX-1 is the only model that Yamaha makes. What can you tell me about it? What all did you see demo'd on it? Widescreen? Standard? HDTV? Source Switching?
jyarb
I have seen this projector 2 times. The first time they were showing Star Wars Episode I on a 16x9 screen and it looked great. The next time I saw it they were showing Men In Black on a Stewart Greyhawk 16x9 screen and the rainbows were terrible. Yamaha is going to be making a new projector sometime this year that is supposed to be better.
