I've always wanted to try some McIntosh equipment and should be picking up a MC-2105 amp, C-28 preamp, and MR-74 tuner this afternoon. Been listening to them for about 2 hours and am enjoying them so far. I really like the blue meters and cabinets as they look just right (at least to me ) with the Chorus speakers. The Parasound system is one of best I have ever owned and sounds wonderful. I bought the MacIntosh pieces primarily due to never having owned any McIntosh equipment previously (but wanting to try them) and this McIntosh system being local to me, listed by original owner in excellent condition with cabinets, owner's manuals and service manuals. My intention is to have amp/preamp gone over to replace caps, etc...to make certain they are up to spec. I'd like to find someone local to do this, but suspect I'll end up sending to Terry Dewick to go over them. I know he is extremely highly regarded.
