Chorus I Speakers

Recommended Posts

I believe I will be changing up the front end of this system this weekend. I've always wanted to try some McIntosh equipment and should be picking up a MC-2105 amp, C-28 preamp, and MR-74 tuner this afternoon. I'm anxious to hear how the McIntosh sound with the Chorus speakers.

Quick photo of the Mcintosh amp/preamp, which I brought home today, with the Chorus speakers. Been listening to them for about 2 hours and am enjoying them so far. I really like the blue meters and cabinets as they look just right (at least to me :) ) with the Chorus speakers. I'll get the MR-74 into system tomorrow and see how FM sounds.

Nice! You like the mac's better than the Parasound?

Well, I'm not ready to say that. The Parasound system is one of best I have ever owned and sounds wonderful. I bought the MacIntosh pieces primarily due to never having owned any McIntosh equipment previously (but wanting to try them) and this McIntosh system being local to me, listed by original owner in excellent condition with cabinets, owner's manuals and service manuals. My intention is to have amp/preamp gone over to replace caps, etc...to make certain they are up to spec. I'd like to find someone local to do this, but suspect I'll end up sending to Terry Dewick to go over them. I know he is extremely highly regarded.
