mattSER
Looking to buy more third generation Reference. Let me know what you have! I already have: - RF-35 - RB-35 - RB-15 Would prefer black, but not a deal breaker. Not interested in center or surrounds. Just RBs and RFs. Thanks! hydro_pyro
Reference 25's, eh? I'm such a tease... I just picked up a couple pairs of RB-15's for the sales floor at the shop... I'm pretty impressed by these little speakers.
hydro_pyro
If the guy on eBay with the quartet of RB-10's gets a reality check when his listing ends without a sale, maybe they'll re-list with a more realistic price.
mattSER
Yeah, I know. Those work out to over $160/pr! I only paid $70 for my RB-15s.

Eh, I'm so interested in "RF-11s". Haha :-P No, but really. The price is a bit high for RF-10s that I would have to ship. There was an RF-10+RW-8 package for $300 here in CO that I missed out on. sully141
There's a lot of the models you are looking for in Minneapolis lately. Are they just a older rf series?
mattSER
Yes, I consider them to be the transition generation. They have the inverted dust caps like the newer Refs but sound more like the older "black cap" RFs. Definitely my favorite gen. What else have you seen in MN? I would definitely buy RF-10s for $200. sully141
http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/dak/ele/4689050336.html I've seen a lot of smaller number like 10, 15, and 25 didn't know how good they were there is a pair of rb10 asking 240 guessing to much. mattSER
Yeah, $240 is waaaayy too much. RF-10 = RF-42 RF-15 = RF-52 RF-25 = RF-62 RF-35 = RF-
mattSER
I wonder if that guy will split up that set. I'd love some RF-15s.

sully141
What are the rb and rs equal to the first gen of rf 83, cuz I could use some wides. I have 83,81,64,and rs7. What would be a good finish of the gen you are looking for or am I mixing to many generations. I seen the pair of rb61s on here and so tempting. mattSER
Sounds like most of the stuff you have is fourth gen. The RF-83s are fourth gen, and if your 81s and 64 don't have "ii" in the model name, then they are also fourth gen. So you should stick with that to keep a matching sound. Look for RB-81/61/51/41 and RS-62/52/42.
sully141
They are all fourth gen. The rs7 is about the same time period also I just got a good deal on them so I bought them. Hopefully it was a good move

mattSER
Hey, thanks for the heads up! I'm still looking for RF-15s and there's none on eBay. I should update my list, though, because I just landed a few more pairs. My 3rd Gen quest status: RF-35 - owned RF-25 - owned RF-15 - looking RF-10 - looking RB-35 - owned RB-25 - looking RB-15 - owned RB-10 - owned
