dual center speakers?

I have rf-3 fronts and the ksc-c1 center. I want more sound and better sound without buying the matching 350.00 rc-3. I think is it a overkill esp. when I can get a KLFC7 for 100-150 on ubid. This raises my question will the klfc7 be too much. Will the base responce and voices be better, more clear, and more cleaner?

The big issue here is that the RC-3 is designed to be voice matched with the RF-3s. If you use a different brand of speaker or even one from a different model line from the same manufacturer (in this case, a Legend center with Reference L/R fronts), you'll get a disjointed front stage, especially noticable during panning effects. In this case, I'll have to say yes it is worth paying the $350 bucks to get a center that matches your fronts and the KLF-C7 will be overkill and to aggressive sounding for your RF-3s you are tying to match it to.

I cant justfy extra cash when I have been using the ksc-c1 for over 1 year. I do not think there will little to do difference in the rc-3 compaired to the ksc-c1 or the klf-c7. If I could only find a used rc-3 or a rc-3 II..cwm42.gif

The other factor to consider is that KLF-c7's from UBid actually have a reserve price of $199 and shipping is $48. So, you can't get one for $100-$150, you can get one for $250-$300. That being the case, you should either spend the extra $100 for a new RC-3 or keep looking for a used one.
