Jim
I am in the process of cleaning the computer it is on now, and it shows that copying/pasting the address for email is what is the virus. It's a Trojan. That really stinks because they are only about 15-20 minutes from me and I was ready to pounce on them. THESE WOULD HAVE BEEN MY DEDICATED 2 CHANNEL SET UP FOR MY TUBE SET UP. W27
I'm not sure what you clicked. I don't see how the email tab could give you a virus. I clicked and sent the seller an email. He responded shortly after saying that they sold right after he posted the ad, and that he was going to remove the ad now. Good deal for someone
Jim
I clicked on the respond and clicked email and that's when I got it. And it said right in my antivirus where it came from. Which part of the link did you click? Edited December 28, 2014 by Jim
W27
I just clicked reply on the top left of the craigslist ad. Then the anonymized email. That part is all through craigslist, which shouldn't have any virus. I did it from my iPhone, which I believe is immune to that stuff anyhow. The guy seemed straight forward that responded. Jim
I did the copy paste email address bar at the bottom of the ad. That's how I wound up getting it. And was very p'oed as I am 15-20 minutes away from there and would have jumped on them in a second.
W27
If you use the CL system, you should be protected in the future. Cool to meet someone else local on here. I work in Tribeca, live in Staten Island
