I decided to keep the Onkyo TX-NR838 and the SVS PC-2000 sub (sandwich, LOL) (see initial post). Last night I played Skyfall (BluRay of course). You should have seen the look on her face when the subway train came crashing through the ceiling of the sewer reservoir below the subway "tube". First the vertical blinds started shaking, and then the vertical blinds behind the subwoofer literally parted 3 to 4 inches as the sound rippled through the couch and floor. She turns to me & says "Is that the thing you spent $800 on?" I said, don't you remember? It's free, gratis American Express Rewards. She says "Yeah, well its still too *** **** loud." And I said, May be, but I saw that surprised/shock look & then a smile on your face!
