Ungod
I have a pair of 2v400's. the fiest pair I had I had to use a Y adapter for quite some time, but the right fron and rear left input kacks like burnt out or something. The speakers worked fine and the wies where fine so it had to be the sub. I got them replaced, and got the cp-1 upgrade. I had also got a new computer by that time with the proper 4 channel sound card. I'm probably moving soon and was thinking about loaning my speakers out to some girls, but they would have to use a Y adapater to use all 4. Has anyone else used a Y adapter without damaging their speakers, or was it just something Klipsch put in the manual that wasn't a good idea afterall? Experiance adivce needed. tpg
I have never heard of a Y-adaptor hurting speakers... I would think it is just fine to use. ------------------ SoundWise / ProMedia Tech Support / 1-888-554-5665s>

justin_tx_16
an unamplified Y adapter can cause a loss of volume. an amplified y adapter can cause a speaker to blow because the line level output has been boosted, but if you are careful, it would be ok. i would not get the boostaroo just because it takes a battery, (not really needed JUST to Y adapt) and because it costs more. however, you COULD get it, turn it up ONLY slightly and then you would not have a volume loss from using a Y adapter. ------------------ -justin SoundWise promediatech@Klipsch.com /1-888-554-5665 - RA# 800-554-7724 ext 5 s>
