rbtwsp
If it was myself I would buy from Audio Asylum or Audiogon first and then Ebay. I would ask for feedback from all sites the seller has used.
DonP
Sorry to wake up this old thread, but I have the same question and was wondering if there are newer suggestions 4 years later. I bought my V1 (build date 290 of 1994, 5" port) CF-2's at the suggestion of someone recommending me a high efficiency speaker for my Dynaco SCA-35. With a likely 14 watts per channel tube, this has turned out to be not such a good match. I like the Polk Audio Monitor 5's better, and some "white van" speakers that I upgraded the tweeter in I like the best. So now I'm looking for an amp to match with the CF-2's. Originally I was thinking I would try vintage solid state, like a Pioneer SX-1050, but it sounds like (from reading this thread) that I should go modern and get lots of power. Thanks! Emile
Just got some CF-3's ... had them on a Marantz 1060 (30+wpc). Sounded very good ... but switched to a Kenwood Basic M2 (220wpc) ... awesome
