rbtwsp
Anyone had experience using Naim amps with Klipch? I would be using the Nait 5i on CF-3's, I think it is rated 60wpc. Thanks Bob
EmilC
Bob I've owned Naim gear in the past including the Nait 5i but never with horns so IMHO I dont see this pair working well together. Naim is known for there sometimes aggressive presentation and with the right speaker can provide a toe-tapping good time. With horns, I see the combo being shrill to the point of being unlistenable but then I could be wrong
zoisdatnu
Dear rbtwsp, I can tell you that my current set is a Naim / Klipsch combination and I am very happy with it. My set: Palladium 17B Naim Nap 250 Amp Naim Nac 282 Pre Naim CDX-2 cd-player I have to say that the combination sound beautiful, rich, open, lots of detail, never sharp. rbtwsp
Thanks, it was a used piece, I think I would want to audition it with my speakers. Bob Edited March 24, 2015 by rbtwsp
Don Richard
Naim amps need high inductance cables or the amps may oscillate. Their own NAC A5 cables are designed for use with their amps, so that is a good choice. This was true two years ago, maybe Naim amp models designed more recently no longer have that requirement? I would check before I bought one of their amps. You might need to also purchase their speaker cables. Older amps did have a problem for sure
