lcornell
Looking for the best fit center, surrounds, and sub for my Heresy IIs. I bought em in the 80's and they still sound GREAT, so I don't want to part with them. I have a new Denon 2802 receiver. I'd appreciate any opinions. Thanks. tpg
Any Heritage series would be the best match. The Academy center, or more Heresy's, Cornwalls, etc. Of course, with some larger Heritage, the Heresy's may then have to do surround duty in favor of different monsters... ------------------ SoundWise / ProMedia Tech Support / 1-888-554-5665s>

lcornell
Good taste runs in the Cornell family. Anyway, I went ahead and ordered the RC-3II center ($299 delivered!) and RS3II surrounds ($479 delivered!) Now, if I can just decide on the sub.... tpg
Look into SVS for sure... ------------------ SoundWise / ProMedia Tech Support / 1-888-554-5665s>
Malcolm
IMHO the best center and surrounds will be more Heresy IIs. If you really need the center channel form factor, I would recommend Academy, KV4, and KLF-C7 in that order. If you want to go bigger on the mains, IMHO Cornwall II would be a good choice. I wouldn't recommend any of the Heritage speakers with K-55-V squawker driver. They sound a bit different in the midrange to me than speakers that use later model squawker drivers. What kind of sub will work best for you is going to depend on your listening environment and tastes. Most of the people here seem to have gone with something other than a Klipsch sub. The RSW series is the first from Klipsch that seems to have reasonable performance and good reliablity. A lot of folks go with SVS. Check out the subwoofer forum for lots of info. FWIW I have 5 Heresies and a well matched sub.
