rune
I finally took the time to finish the Type A crossover for mine Khorns, and I can never go back to the AK-3.This sounds much more natural. I used Audio Note copper in oil caps.Expensive, but I'm sure they play a big part of the natural sound I get. I used 2.2mF on the tweeter and 10+3.3 in the mids, and I used the autoformer from the AK-3 x-over.The plan was to use Goertz inductors in the bass, but I didn't get them.So I just run them without, and I like the result. The bass gets faster, fuller and more playful. I probably have a lot of overlaps in the x-over frequencies, especially bass to mids, but I must say I couldn't care less!!The speakers sound much more coherent...more like one unit. I can see why PWK liked this x-over. Rune
