The wife has just created a new name for SVS,(Sean's Violent System), isn't that great!

These subs are so great, that even she steps back and goes WOW!

SVS-Sean's Violent System. HE HE HA HA!!!!!

Good question. Actually it is SV Subwoofers. The "S" and "V" stand for the two partners who met on the Internet due to their interest in Do-It-Yourself "Sonotube" style speakers.

From time-to-time you will see postings by Klipsch owner Tom Vodhanel... who happens to be the "V" in SVS and supervises the design and building of all their subs. His partner, Ron Stimson, handles the business end of the organization.

Since they have kept their overhead very low, their prices are lower than they are likely to be as their company grows to have the overhead that manufacturers with retail outlets (Like Klipsch) must cover. Enjoy! -HornED
