moray james Posted December 4, 2015 Share Posted December 4, 2015 all you need to do is to go to any good hardware store and purchase a 1/4 - 20 threaded insert. use some epoxy when you install it and it will work just great you don't need to buy factory kits there are all sorts of self tapping threaded inserts for wood and mdf etc. 1/4 - 20 translates into a 1/4 inch thread with twenty threads per inch which is exactly what the thread is on the spikes that come with the loudspeaker.
