MyOwn
Me thinks that this could be used in our hobby in some shape or form...Any thoughts? http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2015/12/151216151744.htm
wvu80
I don't see the application, but I'm not much of a "vision" person. Forgetting the limitations of the material for a moment ("effective for sounds between 1 and 2.5 kHz.") any "improvement" must solve a problem. I don't see the problem right now as we have materials that can reproduce acoustic sound with both accuracy and volume. The only way I see this stuff being used in speakers is if it could make a cheaper product with superior sound characteristics, maybe in a diaphragm.
