CaptnBob
Check this out... Are my eyes deceiving me, or is this thing got cut outs for seven little drivers? Why would that be? Just thought I'd ask... Capt'n Bob
Cornwalled
Do you have a link, or know the item number? That would make it easier to find it. Malcolm
Yes, you see seven little cutouts in the board the grill cloth is mounted on. No, it is not for seven little speakers. It is just an alternative to one big cutout for the woofer.
WMcD
Interesting. The photos are educational. I suppose the construction technique was to use a hole saw to make seven small holes rather than one large one. I don't see evidence of a cut out for a tweeter or midrange. It would be interesting to learn if this model used them. Gil
Pennzman
I have a Rebel III B, Type K-27, Serial# 478, Finish M-2 signed and tested 9-21-54. It is still in use and sounds great. Cabinet and grill cloth is orginal and in good condition. Is there any value or interest in this speaker. I have owned it since 1970. I do not know the what the prior 16 years offered.
