My sub mod

Put together your own sub?

Ive seen a lot about subs for a while now so here what i did,

look in a pawn shop for a comercial pro sub, with box!

Usually grey carpet, on the outside!

I had an RP-3 powered tower at one time i was expirementing with!

I started with a JBL auto sub, then 2, then i got an 18 inch pro audio bass guitar speaker!

Out went the JBLS, in came the Klipsch sub amp, installed into the back of the 18inch sub box!

Grey carpet, steel cage on the front!

Its been running 5months trouble free, i even have the green light on the front, a drill hole and a bit of glue, and sealer!

I havent yet, even with the K-horns topped the bass of the modification i put together!

The boost is all the way down, (MINUS)

This thing overpowers my K-horns!

At the time i was building a subwoofer for 4 cornwalls, then 4 chorus,

This is unreal with movies, shakes everything, all the way to the back room, 60 feet away!

I very seldom use this with music, i love the sound of my folded horn, Klipschorns, so if you decide to take a chance, and build one, e-mail me on how!

Im in the proscess of converting a freinds 15 inch sub, to a powered monster!

Regards Jim
