Malcolm
Best deals will probably be found at auctions, garage sales, estate sales, and thrift stores like Salvation Army and Goodwill. Sometimes you can find a good deal on a trade-in at an audio dealer. Most of them are not in the business of selling used equipment. They just do it to move equipment that have taken in trade as a favor to a customer or to get the sale on new equipment. So they are motivated to move it quickly at a small profit.
