KRA
My current setup is: Front speakers: Pair of R-28F Center: RC-62 II Subwoofer: Energy (from a previous setup) Surround: Pair from Quintet (from previous setup) Looking to change the surround speakers and would like suggestions on what to go for. The set that Klipsch sells pairs the fronts with R-14S surround speakers. Also read on some forums that bookshelf speakers are a good choice for surrounds. (R-14M or R-15M). So I am now trying to decide: R-14S or R-14/15M? Suggestions?
Dkfan9
It really varies from person to person on whether direct firing is better or not. Obviously, you have direct firing currently. What do you feel is missing in your current surrounds? Additionally, are you wall mounting the surrounds, or will they go on stands?
Scrappydue
Move your r-28f to surround duty and grab you a REAL set of reference towers. The RF-82ii to match with your center channel. Welcome to the forum
derrickdj1
The R 14S surround speakers where made to go with the R 28F. This is a wide dispersion speaker gives wider coverage compared to direct radiators. I have have used the wide dispersion and direct radiator for surrounds. Both work and the wide dispersion is my favorite.
