Klipsch RP-250f

I have a 20x20 room my stereo is in now, I have a Yamaha R-s500 with 80 WPC, I also have Pioneer SP-FS52 speakers. Nice speakers but missing bass in it so I got a subwoofer Klipsch K-100sw.

I know speakers are a personal tatse but I was wondering if I upgraded to the Klipsch RP-250F. Is this speaker to big for my room and also will the 80 WPC be enough to power it. I was told that the Premier series were the better speakers than the Klipsch R-24F. Any thoughts on this or should I just keep my Pioneers?

Thanks

Hmcfly,

Welcome to the forums.

I don't know much about your Pioneers but have heard really good things about the new RP floorstanders.  And no, they will not be too big for your 20x20 room.  As far as the Yamaha driving them, get it a shot and go from there.  The subwoofer will take some of the strain off of the R-S500.

Well I found a place that runs 12 different speakers to listen too. I ended up getting the Klipsch rp-250f, I brought them home and hook both the pioneer and Klipsch to A/b switch.

What a difference the klipsch were. The volume were higher on the Klipsch than the Pioneer, Even my wife could tell the difference between them, the bass was very good on the Klipsch were as in was not heard very hi on the Pioneer. I was very happy with my Pioneers and I didn't even know they weren't that good, I even got them on sale cheaper than the internet price I only had to drive 35 miles out of my way..
