Sid K
Hi Everyone. This is continued from another thread question but now it has opened up another. Crackling from my tube amp on the right side only. Is it a bad tube maybe?
jimjimbo
What is the amp? And can you replace the tube?

EMRR
1st thing always is to excercise/clean the sockets by pulling and reseating the tubes. Contact resistance builds over time and easily causes noise in high impedance environments. Many vintage broadcast equipment manuals recommend this on a seasonal basis as preventive maintenance. Of course it may may be something more serious, but this first.

Thanks.
