Marty65
Al, Is there an easy way to strip the wire on Solen Litz wire inductors, the wire is 14 awg stranded? Thanks, Dan
jtkinney
Have you tried using a soldering iron to melt it? Hold the hot iron to the wire like you are going to tin it and add a little solder. It should melt away. ------------------ Jim Family Room: 1978 Klipschorns (mains), 1978 Heresy's (front center), 1979 La Scalas (rear surrounds) Yamaha RX-V1 Receiver, Yamaha CDC-655 CD Player, Toshiba SD-1200 DVD, Toshiba TN50X81 50" HDTV Bedroom: Yamaha RX-V590, SF-1's Mainsc>s>
Al Klappenberger
Dan, Jim is right. Use a 60W soldering iron. Start right at the end of the wire, where the copper is showing and move up the wire from there. It will take about 10 seconds. Use plenty of solder. Keep the wire inside a drop of molten solder as you move. AL K.
