JJT
Anyone know of a online source of information for Fisher tube equipment? In particular tube integrated amps. I'm looking for specs. and features and have had no luck. Thanks in advance. Joe T.
mobile homeless
Several. None are all encompassing like the EICO or Scott offerings. Try: http://members.cox.net/archangele666/fisher.htm http://www.fisherdoctor.com/ http://www.angelfire.com/biz/bizzyb/ http://antiqueradio.org/fish01.htm kh ps- To be honest, for more specific model information, try perusing The Audio Asylum at either: http://www.audioasylum.com/forums/vintage/bbs.html http://www.audioasylum.com/audio/tubes/bbs.html Ask for owners of your particular model interest to surface. I have heard several Fishers, notably the X-100 series. They do sound very nice. The tube rectified models of their integrated are preferred. fini
I have a 500c, and a console with a 440T tuner and a 440A amp. There is a lot of info out there on the 500c, compared to consoles. It would be nice to run into a list of consoles, and their components. fini p.s. From now on, every sentence I write will contain the word console(s). JJT
Thanks for the quick reply Mobile. I have been looking into HH Scott and EICO, especially the HF81 (I wonder why). While browsing on ebay, I came across a Fisher X202-B, the seller mentioned something about a center channel switch, which peaked my curiosity. I would like to try a 3 channel (Trifield?) setup just for fun. Definitely want to get my Cornwalls fed right, so time to try some tubes. afvn72
I have a Fisher X-202. Using the center channel requires the addition of a mono amplifier. The X-202 is a great amp, uses 7189 outputs. I think the 202B is 7591's.
