Tom Adams
Picked up a copy of the 'Average White Band in Concert' DVD and thought it was a pretty decent performance. Audio isn't as cutting edge as The Eagles HFO DVD, but the performance was recorded all in one night at the House of Blues. Anyhow, despite some new members to the group, the music & groove was as tight as in the 70's. I'd give this DVD an A-. If you're into funk or would just like to hear this genre, pick up a copy. eq_shadimar
Cool thanks for the heads up. I will have to pick this one up. I just purchased AC\DC Stiff Upper Lip Live and I need a reason to get it out of my player before the laser burns a hole through it (yeah it is AWESOME). Danartdis
I may in fact pick up the DVD but I can attest to the show being phenomenal as I saw them at the Turning Stone Casino 2 years ago and plan on going again in early November. I love that sound. prodj101
a good jazz/funk/fusion album is Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock. Decent recording, I have it on SACD. Music is where the good stuff is though. Watermellon Man, Chameleon, Sly, it's all good stuff. ------------------ New music system: 2.1 using SF-2's (soon to be RF-7's), and an RSW-15. for amplification Mcintosh MC02105, B&K PT-3 preamp, Sony SACD player. pioneer turntable.
