bmassy
Figured I'd make my first post here with my new setup I'm working on. Just picked up some Forte ii and Klipsch Academy center channel. All I can say is WOW. Never heard the Forte ii before but read a lot about them. Guy local to me had them for 500$ price was firm no budging. They were missing grilles that's it, overall pretty good shape minus some small nicks. I have them powered by a Yamaha RX-A660. Pushes them fine since they're efficient. But I was surprised how good these sounded. These are paired with mirage omni rear satellite speakers atm. I will be changing them out with klipsch soon, just not sure which ones. I may move my KG4.2 from my bedroom and use them as rear speakers. Then get something even better for my room. I've always been a klipsch fan since owning my first pair of KG's for 2 channel audio. I saw these on CL and decided to go for it. It was get these or buy Bowers 700 series floorstanding for my bedroom and move the Kg downstairs. I think the Forte ii sound similar to the Bowers. Very happy with the purchase. My full setup in the picture consists of Forte ii for the fronts, academy for center, 2x mirage omni sats for rears, mirage 8 inch powered sub, Rx-A660 and a Sony 65" A1E OLED TV. I'm open to suggestions for rears and bedroom speakers. I think I'm going to get the Klipsch R-115SW since I get a good price for it since I work part time for Best Buy Magnolia [emoji6] Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

Tony J
Gratz on the Forte IIs, I got mine just a few weeks ago hooked up to Peachtree pre and 220amp. They are hands down the best sounding speakers I've owned so far. At some point you may want to consider upgrading the crossovers. And there are alot of mods for them you can find on here. I have not tried any of the mods yet but will be building a pair of custom stands to raise the mids closer to ear level. Enjoy

I did already order a set of new crites woofer replacements. I notices certain low frequencies sound funny on one of them so I figured I'll change them in pairs. I'll be doing the tweets next cause I've read some good stuff. They already sound great but if they can sound even better, fantastic. I'm going to be building my own grilles soon as well for them.
