Settings for my Marantz SR-7011

Hey guys.

I just got myself a new AVR and added a center speaker to my existing setup:

*Marantz SR-7011

*Klipsch RF-82 ll

*Klipsch R-115SW

*Klipsch RC-64 ll

My problem is that I have no idea how to setup my AVR. I ran the audyssey and changed a few settings right of the bat.

Front speakers: small

crossover SW: 80 Hz

My knowledge stops there and here goes the questions. All help is appresiated.

*What Hz should I set for my front and center speakers?

*Crossover for sw is 80hz but I can set LFE or LFE+Main. What is the correct one?

*The AVR has altot of settings for the center speaker. Any important settings?

*With the center speaker I have to learn all the modes the AVR offers. Should I change modes based on if I watch movies or listen to music?

It's alot I know. Thanks for the help

80Hz is recommended but play around a little between 60 and 100 and see what you like best.

I would select just LFE.

What options does it give you for the center speaker?

I always run Pure Direct as I'm not a fan of different surround DSP modes.  If your Marantz has something similar I'd give it a try.

The Marantz should take the incoming signal and give you the best audio out available from the source for whatever your system has for speakers.  I have the sr6010, just let it handle the incoming signal automatically for multichannel listening.  80hz and just LFE.  LFE+mains often causes bass cancelation, seldom do people find it adds to the listening experience, but feel free to try it.

Most listen to music in two channel not multi channel, but it depends on your speakers and what you like.  2 channel pure direct is usually preferred in 2 channel.  ultimately it's up to you and what sounds good in your room.
