T2K Posted February 10, 2018 Author Share Posted February 10, 2018 Had the Genie 750 3/4 HP ($178) belt drive garage door opener installed yesterday. Everyone says belt drive openers are quite. Well let me tell you this one is really quite. I was actually shocked. Of course the old chain drive opener was installed in August of 1995 so it had the 60 hours of break-in required for optimal sound. The most important thing to me when having someone do work at my house is that many clowns you run into now days don't really give a crap about your property which forces me to invite them to get their a$$es off my property. It can be somewhat embarrassing. This guy contracts with HD and Lo's installing GDO's and was fast and neat. Likes his work purty too. I don't know if this brand will be any better or worse than any other brand out there. I'll update this thread again in 20 years.
