How to adjust rear channel

Just up the db's on the receiver for the rear channels, that should make the sound a little louder. Don't over crank them so they don't sound as one with the rest of the system.

An SPL meter is IDEAL in this situation. But for starters maybe up them about 3-5 db's, so on the receiver you'll see for the rear left and rear right +4 db's. That should be a decent start until you can get a SPL meter.

Forgot to add, that the Yamaha should have some kind of SPL calibration to it I would guess, does the remote have a built in SPL meter deal? My HK AVR 520 has a SPL calibration in the remote, not the best way to do it but better than nothing. Check the manual and see if it has an auto calibration where it sets it automatically for you.
