marioramos Posted September 20, 2018 Share Posted September 20, 2018 Was thinking to finally move on from my rf 7a 1st gen. I have had them for over 15 years or so. Was thinking or forte 3 . Since I was introduced to Klipsch from my father as a lil boy. My father has passed on and kind of wanted to get the new ones as a rememberance to him. That’s the only way I can convince the wife of the change. And the money investment. She says t the rf7 sound great. My father had the 1st gen forte. With a Denon poa 2200 power amp. MEH Synergy Posted September 20, 2018 Share Posted September 20, 2018 I love the fortes. Fairly affordable giant killers. I don't think you will be disappointed. Rf7 will surely have more bass, but the bass from the Forte III is a lot tighter and cleaner IMO. Highs will be much smoother and better blended. Mids will be a nice step forward as well. 3 Way versus 2 way. I prefer the sound of a 3 Way done right myself.... Mids cut though much better as long as xover transition is smooth.
