moK
Hi, My name is Alex, it's my first time posting at this forum. Please also excuse my poor english. Anyway nice meeting you guys I have a concern in mind right now is where will I be able to get stands for my Quintet speakers? I tried asking my local dealer (London Drug) if they or Klipsch sell any Quintet speaker stands, but they told me Klipsch does not carry stands for Quintet. Fortunately, while I was surfing throught Klipsch website, I found that there's a image under photo gallery section where it contains a small home theatre using Quintet with STANDS! This somehow brings up my concern that there's stands made for Quintet? So can anyone here be kind to help me out and answer my question please? P.S. http://www.klipsch.com/photo_gal/qnt-rmstwith.jpg <--- this is the link where I find the image. Thanks in advance. moK
dougdrake
Welcome - My Dad got stands for his Quintets at www.audioadvisor.com. I don't recall the brand, but they had a bracket on them made just for the Quintets and they work great. Other brands out there are Furniture Works and Sanus (and many others, too). Perhaps you could check their web sites to see what they offer. DD
moK
Yes, I've just checked with audioadvisor.com and I talked to one of their represensative using their online chat. Unfortunately, he first came up with some H top base stands for quintet, but I am not sure if it'll fit perfectly, second he gave me another brand that has a 4" top base in which i've seen these type of stands at my local shops, and i bought one of them home to try, and it didn't work at all. Can you or someone else please help me again... because I'd really want some perfect stands that'll be worth my money to purchase it. Thanks in advance. moK
dougdrake
A Google of "Furniture Works" turned up the following which may work for you: http://www.surroundsolutions.com/cgi-bin/surroundsolutions.com/surroundsolutions.cgi/0255.html You may have to bend the adapter shown on the far right in the picture of the 3 adapters so the speakers line up right, but that's no big deal. This is the stand my Dad used on his Quintets. http://www.homeaudiosuperstore.com/detail.asp?product_id=Furniture_Works_RB1_AH
smyle1
moK, I had those very speakers prior to upgrading and I used a pair of Lovan speaker stands for the fronts. they are two feet tall, and have a 6" x 7" speaker placement area. The Klipsch satellites fit nicely on them. I still have the Lovans, and was looking to get rid of them, since I have the RF series now, I no longer need them. I have included a picture link below. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks Don
justin_tx_16
http://www.omnimount.com/product.asp?c=speaker+stands they make the best stands I personally have used. The RB-1 is the stand you want I believe. Hehe, they DO show it with a Klipsch Quintet hehe, and have for YEARS. it is just short of the offical speaker for that stand, that and hte Klipsch ProMedia satellite. TwoWatt
Here are the stands I bought at parts express. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&User_ID=9514926&St=8230&St2=73300720&St3=46039450&DS_ID=3&Product_ID=4934&DID=7 I remember only paying 30 bucks for the pair. Must of been a sale. I just took the base off (could of left it on, but looked silly) They do the job, hide the speaker wire, and are not expensive. TwoWatt
Heres a better picture. I know the white speaker on a black stand looks silly too, but the quintet system is just something I bought while I save up for the 'REAL' Deal. Not that I dont like quintets. I think they are awesome.
Doc Holiday
I own the quintets and mine came with the stands. When you buy the quintets the stands are supposed to be inlcuded. Why they were not included when you bought yours is very strange. Maybe try to ask klipsch why yours didn't come with them. I would go to london drug and ask why you didn't get them?!?!? A lot of people who move there quintets around a lot complain that the hex screw that holds them is really weak and breaks. I never move mine so i wouldn't know....
