WeWillDoItLive Posted June 11, 2020 Share Posted June 11, 2020 I am looking into buying my first sound system with my new 4k TV but I am not sure what audio receiver to get. I am looking into getting the following klipsch speakers 2 RP 280F 2 RP 600M 1 RP 450C 1 R115SW I mainly plan on using the system for movies but wouldn't mind using it for music as well. Most audio receivers that I find are all above $1,000 and I'm not really sure if I want to spend that much on a 5.1 setup. I wouldn't mind having a receiver capable of 7.2 for the future but it is not really a deal breaker for me. The one thing that I noticed is all the receivers below $1,000 are usually less than 100w per channel but the rating for the RP 280F is 150w. I also have two ceiling speakers in my living room but I have never used them and am not sure what brand they are but if it is a good idea to switch them out I wouldn't mind having Dolby atmos if ceiling speakers can be used for that.
