AnotherKlipschGuy
After installing Bob's titanium diaphragms and crossover update kits, one of the speakers has what sounds like a single tap on a microphone, maybe 10~20 seconds after being used, after they've had a good long rest. There seems to be no on going issues, and it's just the one pop sound, so it's not terrible, but I'd love it if someone knows what's going on!
MechEngVic
If you have a pop at a specific interval after rest, it may be a capacitor problem. Something is faulty or miswired. Can also be a cold solder, the solder didn't bond properly and makes contact or disconnects making the pop sound. Does the speaker sound different before the pop? Or after the pop? AnotherKlipschGuy
@MechEngVic Ah, how embarrassing. After some trial and error (and soldering) I finally found what the issue was. At the same time I changed my Klipsch Reference R-8SW Subwoofer from "on" to "auto." That pop was the sound of the subwoofer turning on 2
