DTO
Hello all! sorry if this is the wrong place. I recently purchased a pair of RB-5s as part of a bigger lot. One is rather nice, one needs help. I plan on giving a good sanding to both and re oiling the wood veneer, cherry I think. That part I’ve done before. One has a pretty beat up but functional woofer. I’m not to worried about it. But the previous owner applied tons of glue all over the baffle trying to fix broken pegs. The grill for that one is pretty trashed. My question is “what is the motor board surface made of?”. It resembles plastic, but a thin amount. I’m hoping it’s mdf so I can sand all the glue off and fill the grill holes and re paint. Anyone know if that’s possible? Pete H
I believe it's MDF for the motor board. I'll look at one of my pair and tell you.
