Downsized to Heresys

Recommended Posts

I sold my ‘74 LaScalas yesterday. I inherited Heresys. I have ‘78 Heresys that I’m using for surrounds. The Heresys sound more atmospheric where as the LaScalas sounded in my face. I am TOTALLY happy with my choice.

I am not surprised at all. The Heresy is an amazing speaker. I sold Klipsch at retail for 21 years and we regularly astonished people by playing Heresys before telling them what speakers were playing. The number of jaws that dropped was amazing. The La Scala is a truly wonderful speaker but when you consider the cost of a pair of La Scalas vs. Heresys in 1978 the Heresy is just unbelievable.
Enjoy your Heresys!

I have three pair. The LaScalas were just too much for my room which is 19’ X 25’

the Heresy speakers have been around for over 50 years , and the only change was done last year by adding 1 inch height to the cabinet -

They have a rear port also, hence the extra height

I love my 1981s.  Soldered K-55V midrange.  They're not a small speaker but man do they sound way bigger than they should.
