The Gamecube will support surround sound using Dolby Pro Logic II. Is this supported by the DD or do I have to go buy a different receiver? It says it does support Dolby Pro Logic, are they the same? Terminus Posted December 1, 2002 Share Posted December 1, 2002 No the DD-5.1 doesn't support DPL2, only the original. I'm not sure if it will still work because I tried it on my PS2 with NFS: Hot Pursuit 2 and it didn't do anything when I selected DPL2.
