Promedia 4.1 won't turn on

When power goes off for any reason the unit will not turn back on

for several days...this has happened at least 3 times in the past.

For that reason I don't dare unplug the unit..

What's up?..does anyone have a fix for this problem?..or know what's causing it?..

Open up the subwoofer and look for any loose wires. If there are then just connect them back together. My first set of pm 4.1 wouldn't even turn on when i bought them so i got exchanged. But then i found out that something was loose inside the subwoofer. If u dont feel like opening up ur sub then just get it exchanged.

opening it up voids the warranty. this happens, i have noticed, when people use a surge protector or other means to remove the power from the 4.1's instead of just leaving them on. I have left mind on, even the v2.400's, for a year to two years except when i moved and bad storm.

my pm 2.1's have NEVER been turned off since I bought them. I am to lazy to reach behind the sub for the power switch every time I go somewhere. I've had mine for about 2.5 years or so.

I don't think the 2.1's have been around for 2.5 years yet Prodj. I got the v2.400's in 2001. The 2.1's came out later around March? Then the 4.1's came out. Could be wrong, but I don't think they have been out for 2 years yet. Course, I don't remember a whole lot of the first year with my v2.400's... spent most of it in an interesting state of disallusion...
