Honeyhamms
I just purchased the klipsch rp-600m speakers to listen to records on my new turntable, Fluance RT85. I’m using an old receiver, JVC RX-R75TN I’ve had since 1993. Not sure if I am getting the best sound out of it. Should I get a new receiver and what do you recommend? I’m only using it for music. willland
@Honeyhamms, Welcome to the forum. If this is for stereo playback only, I suggest an affordable stereo integrated amplifier to get your feet wet. There are also a few modern stereo receivers that should do the trick. Determine your budget and your overall needs and go from there. Here are a couple of stereo receivers that will not break the bank. https://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/item/yamrn602bl-rb/yamaha-r-n602-2-ch-x-80-watts-networking-stereo-receiver/1.html https://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/item/dendra800h/denon-dra-800h-2-x-100-watts-stereo-receiver-w/heos/1.html A little more $$$ but highly praised and packed with features. https://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/item/yamrn803bla/yamaha-r-n803-2-ch-x-100-watts-networking-stereo-receiver-new/1.html Bill
Aaron4345
Have you considered bypassing the receiver and going directly to a reasonably priced tube based preamp/amp combination? I find the sound quality is so much better when I bypass my Denon receiver and go with a simple preamp/amp set up. As others have pointed out, the most simple configuration is often the best sounding.
